
Marketing Operations Director

First Manhattan is seeking a Director of Marketing Operations to build and scale the Firm’s marketing infrastructure.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will own marketing operations end to end, including systems, campaign execution infrastructure, workflow, governance, and performance reporting. This is a hands‑on role with full ownership of the marketing operations function for someone who can bring structure to a growing function and ensure that everything we do is measurable, scalable, and operating efficiently.
This role will serve as the central owner of marketing infrastructure and operations, ensuring alignment across marketing, business teams, and leadership. Success in this role means establishing a scalable, well‑defined marketing operations foundation that enables consistent execution, clear performance visibility, and measurable pipeline contribution.
Key Responsibilities: Marketing Infrastructure & Systems Own and manage marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot) and CRM integrations
Establish and improve lead tracking, routing, and reporting across systems
Partner with technology teams to maintain and enhance marketing systems
Campaign Execution & Workflow Build and manage end-to-end campaign execution processes
Establish intake, prioritization, and workflow systems across marketing and business teams
Ensure campaigns are executed efficiently, consistently, and at scale
Data, Reporting & Analytics Develop and maintain dashboards to track campaign performance, engagement, and pipeline contribution
Standardize reporting across marketing initiatives to provide clear visibility to leadership
Identify opportunities to improve performance through data and insights
Governance & Process Discipline Establish governance frameworks and best practices to ensure consistency, accountability, and scalability across marketing initiatives
Define and enforce processes around campaign execution, data integrity, and cross‑functional coordination
Operational Ownership Own and evolve the marketing operations function as the team grows
Manage competing priorities across stakeholders and enforce clear processes
Bring structure and discipline to a lean, fast‑moving environment
Operate independently and make decisions with a high degree of ownership
Qualifications & Experience: 8-12 years of experience in marketing operations, with direct ownership of systems, workflow, and campaign infrastructure
Proven experience building or significantly improving marketing operations functions
Demonstrated ability to build structure in environments that are not yet fully defined
Deep hands‑on experience within marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot), CRM systems, and campaign execution
Strong understanding of marketing data, reporting, and performance measurement
Experience establishing lead tracking, routing, and reporting frameworks
Experience operating in lean environments with a high degree of ownership and accountability
Strong ability to influence and work cross‑functionally across marketing, technology, and business teams
Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and driving adoption of processes across a relationship‑driven organization
Industry Experience: Experience in financial services, wealth management, or related regulated industry preferred
Experience supporting relationship‑driven business or high‑touch client models is highly valued
This is not a project management, coordination, or campaign execution role.
We are looking for someone who has owned marketing operations infrastructure, including systems, workflow, governance, and data—not just supported it.
This is not a digital marketing or campaign specialist role. The focus is on infrastructure, systems, and scalability
Candidates should be comfortable stepping into an evolving environment and building structure
