Part-Time Business Development Associate (Restoration & Reconstruction)
Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Associate to generate qualified leads and build referral partnerships for a fast-growing restoration and reconstruction company. This role is focused on relationship building, field prospecting, and revenue generation —not passive marketing.
You will be responsible for developing partnerships with plumbers, property managers, insurance professionals, and local businesses to drive consistent job flow.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
Identify and target high-value referral partners (plumbers, property managers, HOAs, insurance agents, etc.)
Conduct in-person visits, cold calls, and follow-ups to generate new opportunities
Actively canvass areas impacted by water, fire, or storm events
2. Relationship Development
Build and maintain strong, repeatable referral relationships
Position the company as the go-to emergency response vendor
Stay top-of-mind with partners through consistent follow-up and value‑add interactions
3. Sales Execution
Clearly communicate service offerings (water mitigation, fire/smoke cleanup, mold remediation, reconstruction)
Overcome objections and secure referral commitments
Track and convert opportunities into scheduled jobs
4. Pipeline Management
Maintain accurate records of contacts, interactions, and opportunities
Report weekly on:
New contacts established
Meetings completed
Leads generated
Jobs influenced
Performance Expectations
Minimum 20‑30 new partner contacts per week
Minimum 10 in‑person meetings per week
Generate consistent qualified leads within first 30–60 days
Demonstrate ability to build at least 2–3 recurring referral sources within 90 days
Qualifications
Previous experience in sales, business development, or relationship‑based roles
Comfortable with cold outreach and in‑person networking
Strong communication and persuasion skills
Self‑motivated with a hunter mentality (this is not a passive role)
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred:
Experience in restoration, construction, or home services
Existing local network (plumbers, property managers, etc.)
Compensation
Base hourly pay (part‑time)
Performance‑based incentives / commission tied to jobs generated
Mileage reimbursement
