The Team You’ll Join You’ll join the Entry Talent Accelerator (ETA) Program, a 1-year experience launching in June 2026 for early-career professionals excited to grow into client-facing careers through mentorship, training, and intentional career pathing. As a Business Development Representative (BDR) on our Growth Development Team, you’ll serve as the first point of contact for University Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, and DEI leaders, delivering strategic, data-informed insights that open the door for advisory partnerships, the foundation of our client-facing work. BDRs deliver valuable, actionable insights to these leaders over the phone, email, or LinkedIn each day. Leading prospect interactions with strategic advisory and data-informed insights is how we’ve become one of the faster-growing intelligence startups in the country. Like a Partner at a consulting firm, we drive business through intellectual authority – astutely pinpointing our prospects’ most pressing priorities and opening the door for further advisory. Our BDRs own the first step of this process – their presence, ability to serve as a trusted advisor, and results orientation are key to our success as an organization. How You’ll Grow The ETA Program builds foundational skills across communication, consulting, and strategy. Through mentorship and hands‑on work, you’ll strengthen your abilities in: Public Speaking: Develop confidence and precision in high‑stakes communication. Consulting: Learn to diagnose client needs, build trust, and deliver actionable insights. Negotiation: Gain tools to navigate conversations with professionalism and clarity. Data Interpretation: Hone your ability to extract and apply insights quickly. The ETA program aims to track participants to one of three client‑facing and revenue‑generating roles at Veris Insights: Member Experience Strategy Lead (our client success team), Partnership Lead (our renewals team), or Account Advisor (our new business team). In addition to tailored career pathing and coaching, you will also have the opportunity to participate in cross‑divisional strategy consulting projects with the ETA cohort to identify innovation opportunities (and next career steps) across the firm. Finally, this role will give you the opportunity to present your findings and successes to executive leadership. If you meet quota and clearly outlined competency expectations, you can expect to promotion in one year. If the entire ETA cohort meets annual team goals, expect a company‑funded group experience to celebrate. Your Character Incisiveness. Key Responsibilities: Entry Talent Accelerator Program Collaborate with your mentor to build and execute a custom training and growth plan preparing you for your selected career path Contribute to cross‑divisional strategy consulting projects with the ETA cohort to identify innovation opportunities across the firmPresent your progress in the ETA program and opportunities for innovation to executive leadership Key Responsibilities: Direct Outreach to Prospects Pipeline generation (managing inbound and outbound leads) Deep dive into our research and data to become an expert in talent acquisition Deliver timely, actionable, and data‑informed insights to Talent Acquisition, University Recruiting, and DEI leaders via email, phone, and LinkedIn Leverage tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, Zoominfo, and Sales Navigator to drive individual and team success Distill the essence of our memberships and communicate our value proposition to prospective clients Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in Salesforce Partner with Account Advisors to creatively and strategically source prospective organizations Successfully pitch the value of initial advisory meetings and handle meeting logistics Assist with meeting preparation, follow‑up, collateral creation, etc. Analyze data and trends in collaboration with Marketing and Revenue Ops Serve as an ambassador for the Veris Insights brand and our research memberships The Requirements Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date in summer 2026 A passion for dedicated service and uncompromising quality A proactive, solution‑oriented approach to problem‑solving A growth mindset focused on continual learning and development Enthusiasm to learn and use new tools as we implement them The Nice‑To‑Haves 0–1 year of professional experience prior to graduation (internships, campus roles, or part‑time work) Familiarity with a modern sales software stack Experience expanding a client base or membership The Compensation & Benefits Package Salary: $60,000–$65,000 base salary, plus variable commission based on performance Location: Hybrid (2–3 days per week in our Washington, DC office; must live in or be willing to relocate to the DC area) Time Off: Unlimited PTO, plus monthly mental health days Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus a $1,000 annual wellness stipend Retirement: 401(k) with up to 4% employer match Family Support: Paid parental leave Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
