Job Title:
Digital Advertising Senior Manager/Manager (Walmart Connect) (position dependent on experience)
About the role:
Hatchery is looking for a data-driven, strategic Digital Advertising Manager/Sr. Manager to lead high-impact advertising initiatives across Walmart Connect for our growing portfolio of partner brands.
In this role, you’ll own the end-to-end advertising strategy, from planning to execution to optimization, helping brands of all sizes scale efficiently and outperform category & their goals.
You’ll work at the intersection of retail media, analytics, and client strategy, turning insights into measurable growth.
What You'll Do
Own strategy & execution: Develop and implement full-funnel advertising strategies tailored to each brand’s lifecycle, budget, and competitive landscape.
Drive performance: Manage day-to-day portfolio and campaign operations across Walmart Connect, consistently exceeding KPIs such as NTB, ROAS, ACOS. Understand and combine retail signals (inventory, price competitiveness, etc.) to optimize performance.
Optimize relentlessly: Optimize portfolio by monitoring, test, and refine search and display campaigns to maximize ROI while achieving aligned brand partner KPI’s.
Translate data into action: Analyze performance and deliver clear, actionable insights through weekly and monthly reporting.
Lead client conversations: Present performance updates, strategic recommendations, and growth opportunities with confidence.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with internal stakeholders including sales, finance, and replenishment teams to align advertising with broader business objectives.
Manage budgets with precision: Ensure accurate pacing, spend allocation, and campaign efficiency while balancing both JBP and non-JBP expectations and commitments.
Stay ahead of the curve: Build relationships with Walmart Connect, Walmart merchant teams, and Walmart Data Ventures while staying current on retail media trends, tools, and updates.
Own keyword & bidding strategy: Continuously refine and analyze competitive, category, brand, non-brand and trending search terms; optimizing keyword selection and bidding approaches.
Always Be Testing: Constant A-B testing across advertising strategies, from keyword to campaign management, to listing refinements. Seek unique & additional opportunities to drive brand impact and incremental results.
Knowledge and testing mindset: Have an understanding of how PDP listing setup and backend attribution effects advertising strategy and performance.
HatchAnalytics®: Seize opportunities to be critical in building out HatchAnalytics® advertising decision matrix & layer, combining category & item retail signal store performance, advertising insights, query mining and constant testing methodology; ensuring Hatchery continues to drive industry leading digital results.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with Walmart ad platforms
Demonstrated expertise in developing, managing, and analyzing digital advertising campaigns and presenting performance insights
Familiarity with Scintilla Charterstore metrics, digital landscapes and audience data.
Deep understanding and experience in various ad tech and keywording platforms such as Pacvue, Skai, Helium 10, Jungle Scout.
Cross-functional collaborator with strong project management skills, attention to detail, and budget management
Ability to tell a story with data and present to clients in a clear, concise way
Ability to determine the daily priorities, understanding how and when to reprioritize quickly when needed
Self‑motivated, adaptable, and can think independently with the ability to drive decisions using data
