Job Description
We are looking for an exceptional communicator to join our team as a Communications Manager. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring that all employees feel informed, engaged and inspired. This individual will write and edit high-quality content across internal and some external channels, serving as a trusted voice for the St. Joseph’s Health brand, leadership and the employee community. Strong writing and editorial instincts, attention to tone and nuance, and the ability to work closely with a broad range of audiences are essential.
Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in communications, editorial, or marketing communications role. Experience in a hospital/healthcare setting is a plus.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, a proven track record of success.
Familiarity with internal communications tools (SharePoint, Canva, WordPress, etc.)
Ability to work independently, and to communicate directly with various personnel at the hospital such as physicians, their staff and other healthcare professionals.
Must be skilled at executing within tight timeframes with attention to detail and accuracy.
Bachelor's degree required.

Pay transparency
St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
About The Team
St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus, regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures.
It offers a full complement of specialty and subspecialty services including ambulatory, behavioral health, cardiovascular, emergency/trauma, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic/spine, rehabilitation, surgical specialty, women’s health, imaging and pediatrics.
