Overview
As a motivated and outgoing individual eager to gain hands‑on experience in marketing, community engagement, and the telecommunications industry, this internship offers meaningful, real‑world exposure. As a Blackfoot Communications Marketing & Community Engagement Intern, you’ll learn about our business, culture, and systems while working closely with teams across the organization to support a variety of marketing and community‑focused needs. You’ll assist with campaigns, events, content, and outreach efforts that help promote the high‑speed internet and communication services that power our communities.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal teams—including Product, Marketing, Sales, and other departments as needed—to develop marketing assets.
Write and schedule social media content, supporting the social media content calendar and ensuring consistent messaging, tone, and branding across channels.
Assist with preparing and organizing materials for digital and print advertising placements, including graphics, copy, and product information.
Assist with planning and executing community events, sponsorships, and outreach activities; represent Blackfoot Communications at external events as appropriate (some evenings/weekends).
Provide administrative and project support, including tracking assets, maintaining shared folders, basic reporting, and assisting with campaign documentation.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to support marketing goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Fundamental business and consumer marketing concepts, including basic marketing channels, campaigns, and communication practices.
Social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) and content best practices.
Marketing tools and systems (such as marketing automation or content management platforms), with a willingness to learn new technologies.
Basic time management and organizational best practices.
Skill to:
Collaborate and function effectively as a team player across departments.
Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Edit, proofread, and format marketing materials to match brand standards.
Organize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to:
Seek feedback and incorporate ideas from others to support strong outcomes.
Think creatively and apply problem‑solving skills to marketing and engagement projects.
Positively, effectively, and professionally represent Blackfoot Communications at internal and external activities as appropriate.
Maintain a valid Montana driver’s license, clean driving record, and meet Company insurance requirements.
