
New Business Development Manager

The New Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new and existing client relationships, territory management & development and leading the sales and service of the RCT overall product portfolio – with a focus on oleochemicals.
Minimum of 3 years sales experience to include: market development, business development and account management.
Key Responsibilities
Territory & Key Account Management & Development - Midwest & Northeast Focus
Lead efforts to build RCT customer base by conversion of new prospects to customers
Identify, develop & analyze new product, customer & market opportunities
Support continued sales of existing RCT oleochemical portfolio plus lead & drive new product & market developments where we have opportunity
Establish sales goals & metrics to drive necessary throughput & volume coverage on RCT inventory product portfolio
Work with RCT sales team and within own territory to ensure proper coverage of RCT account & prospect list
Support & manage monthly RCT marketing efforts in various industry trade shows & conferences
Work with RCT product managers in implementing monthly/quarterly price strategies & communicating market trends & feedback to external & internal partners
Support organization in daily implementation of RCT CRM efforts (eChempax, Annual Plans, Cost/Sell sheets, trade show follow-up)
Work with Operations & Product Managers to streamline & improve monthly forecasting process
Support & participate in weekly RCT sales sessions and trainings
Rierden Chemical is based in Libertyville IL just north of downtown Chicago.
We are a distributor & importer of industrial & food-grade chemicals & ingredients, selling products into a wide variety of fast-growing & innovative markets: Agriculture, Biofuels, Food/Flavor and Personal Care just to name a few.
Our product portfolio is focused on oleochemicals, with glycerine being our largest volume product. This portfolio is a healthy mix of domestic & global production – with our imports spanning the globe from Latin America to Europe to South East Asia.
While our global HQ is in the Chicago suburbs (straight shot on the Metra from Downtown Chicago), our customer base spans all of North America – with inventory positions in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles & New Jersey.
