Location Our ideal candidate will be based on the West Coast (PST), although we can consider someone in the Mountain Timezone. Job Description We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for marketing and placing new and renewal commercial accounts with the most appropriate carriers, ensuring coverage aligns with client needs and industry risks. You will also provide key support to producers and account managers, helping deliver exceptional client outcomes through strategic market placement and superior customer service. Your goal will be to skillfully match carrier appetite with client risk profiles, negotiate competitive terms, and contribute to a seamless client experience from quote to bind. Daily Responsibilities Provide top-notch customer service by building strong rapport with carriers, clients, and internal team members, including supporting Producers with marketing strategy and placement. Evaluate new and renewal submissions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with underwriting guidelines. Skillfully coordinate carrier appetite with client needs to identify the best market placement strategy. Prepare and submit ACORD applications and supporting documents to carriers for quoting. Analyze and compare carrier proposals, coverage options, and exclusions, present recommendations to producers and account managers. Negotiate rates, terms, and coverage enhancements with underwriters to secure optimal results. Utilize the agency management system with integrity to track activity, maintain accurate client data, and manage documentation. Complete all marketing and account support processes in a timely, organized, and professional manner. Monitor and report on the status of accounts, renewal timelines, and marketing tasks to ensure no lapses or delays. Stay current on market trends, carrier appetites, and new product offering. Participate in internal strategy meetings to support account retention and placement decisions. Assist in developing client-facing materials for proposals and presentations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Licensing: Active property and casualty required (or ability to obtain prior to starting) and maintain continuing education for license renewals. Experience: Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in commercial insurance or a related role. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. Knowledge of a wide range of commercial insurance products (e.g., general liability, commercial auto, workers' comp, property, cyber, etc.). Skills & Competencies Highly detail-oriented and focused on achieving results. Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and a dependable team-player mindset. Self-motivated with a professional demeanor and eagerness to continue learning. Passion for helping people and providing solutions that support their business and risk management goals. Proficiency in CRM and agency management systems (e.g. Hawsoft) and adapting to learning new technologies. Tech savvy and comfortable with MS Office. Bilingual a plus but not required.
