Web Analytics Specialist
PINT, San Diego, CA, United States
PINT is a digital agency that strives to maintain the continuum of thoughtful, web standards-driven development that makes the internet the predominant communication medium of our day.
We are engineering-focused practitioners with a long tradition of building maintainable, robust websites and applications that serve some of the largest organizations in the world.
When we think about data and analytics, we have some opinionated takes:
We're not satisfied by black box PPC and analytics...we want to own real web traffic insights based on supportable data We want to target specific outcomes, not just "line go up" Website performance is as important as, and will drive, conversion numbers We want website owners to improve their presence and performance based on well-composed, insightful recommendations, not just engine optimizing best practice At PINT we know a lot about websites, but only a few of our lifers can claim to deeply know the web...the rest of us are always trying to learn more.
PINT hopes to meet individuals from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines who passionately want to assess and improve website performance and analysis.
You might have a computer or data science background, or you may be a creative who has moved towards implementation and analysis. You might be a technical project manager who likes to craft insightful reporting or a quality assurance analyst who has grown closer to design advocacy based on the quantitative results of your work.
Here you will take your fundamental interest in web and digital production and apply it to traffic analytics configuration and reporting, search engine tactics, digital and web campaign management, and a wide variety of marketing-adjacent web and digital work. You will have wide freedom to create and grow both our internal and customers' web and digital presences...but only if you're the type to ask forgiveness rather than permission.
PINT is open to anyone who wants to spend their time drawing insights from website data and recommending best standards and practices to help our customers achieve their websites' goals.
Requirements
Foundational understanding of website technologies and architecture Strong communication skills Intrinsic motivation and an ability to operate independently, with some oversight Cogent data analysis and report creation capabilities Website data analytics platform proficiency Web platform automation experience is a plus Web development best practices (you don't need to code, but you should probably have at least tried)
We could include a bunch of software and years of experience required, but we would rather have you demonstrate your tools during your interview. Surprise us with something we don't know!
Please provide any work deliverables, digital or web creations, a portfolio link...whatever you think makes you interesting as a candidate.
We are a primarily in-office team in Pacific Beach, San Diego, with remote flexibility. Our office is a mile from beach and bay, with easy access from I-5 and a great view from the rooftop patio.
Salary information assumes self-managed, experienced candidates. Less-experienced candidates are encouraged to apply with an eye towards the hourly wage listed. PINT offers full medical/dental/vision and a 401k, as well as additional, voluntary benefits options. Matters of compensation and other questions are welcome with your submission or feel free to reach out to hr@pint.com.
