Customs Brokerage Compliance Manager

Ensure end-to-end regulatory compliance across UPS Customs Brokerage operations. Support internal stakeholders and external customers on customs and trade compliance matters. Research, evaluate, and interpret complex U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and Participating Government Agency (PGA) requirements. Proactively communicate compliance guidance to brokerage leadership, operations teams, and customers. Compliance Audits & Risk Management
Conduct, lead, and coordinate compliance audits, including entry accuracy reviews and process assessments. Develop and oversee corrective action plans to address compliance gaps. Partner with brokerage operations to identify, mitigate, and prevent compliance risks. Ensure consistent application of compliant procedures across all modes and operational locations. Regulatory Analysis & Customer Support
Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory changes to identify emerging risks and opportunities. Provide timely, practical responses to compliance inquiries from customers, operations, legal teams, and government authorities. Serve as a subject matter expert on customs brokerage compliance issues. Act as a trusted compliance advisor for customers, providing guidance on classification, valuation, admissibility, FTAs, and recordkeeping to ensure compliant and efficient clearance. Support customer onboarding, audits, escalations, and regulatory inquiries. Assist customers in navigating complex regulatory requirements while minimizing supply chain risk and disruption. Government & Industry Engagement
Serve as a liaison with CBP, PGAs, and internal government relations partners on audits, enforcement actions, and policy interpretation. Actively participate in industry associations, working groups, and trade forums. Represent UPS interests and stay informed of evolving regulatory and enforcement trends. Documentation, Training & Process Governance
Develop, maintain, and issue work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance guidelines. Create and deliver training materials to support consistent, timely, and compliant brokerage operations. Promote a culture of compliance awareness and continuous improvement across the organization. Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Customs Brokerage or Import Compliance - Required Candidate must be a US Licensed Customs Broker - Required Requires high communication skills Bachelor's degree in international business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field - Preferred Other Criteria
Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job - Required Overnight Travel may be required. Job Level: 84 - Mid Manager Job Grade: 30E Working hours: Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM EST. Deadline to Apply: April 10th, 2026.
