PENNIE ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST

You'll work directly with community members to connect them with affordable health insurance options through Pennie, Pennsylvania's health insurance marketplace, while building meaningful partnerships that strengthen our region's health outcomes.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Picture yourself connecting community members across Southwest Pennsylvania to life-changing healthcare coverage through Pennie, Pennsylvania's health insurance marketplace. You'll guide individuals through their insurance options, host enrollment events, and build partnerships with local organizations to create a strong support network that ensures no one navigates the healthcare system alone.

Your day combines direct client service with strategic community building-from helping someone find an affordable plan that covers their medications to training community partners and attending community outreach events. Every enrollment represents a family gaining access to preventive care and protection from medical financial hardship, while your documentation and reporting demonstrate measurable community impact across our 10-county region.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Education & Experience:

Degree in social work, public health, or healthcare-related field (or equivalent relevant experience)

Minimum 2 years of experience with health plan enrollment through Pennie and/or MA/CHIP programs

Expertise in eligibility determination, enrollment processes, and user assistance

Skills & Abilities:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and time management abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders

Comfortable with regular regional travel

Bilingual Spanish/English capabilities

Background in case management, care navigation, or healthcare field

Experience working with diverse communities and populations
