Director of Credit Risk Management About the Company Dynamic and innovative financial institution Industry Banking Type Privately Held About the Role We are looking for an experienced Director of Credit Risk Management to lead our efforts in counterparty credit risk across a variety of financial activities, including derivatives, lending, funding, and deposits. In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing the risk appetite, approving key transactions, and working closely with trading, lending teams, and senior leadership to build a robust credit risk framework. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of creditworthiness assessments for financial institution counterparties and will take charge of defining and managing our credit risk appetite. You will ensure thorough documentation, collateral management, and effective risk mitigation strategies while underwriting lending transactions. Key responsibilities include: Assessment of creditworthiness for financial counterparties Defining and managing the organization’s credit risk appetite Approving transactions with an emphasis on documentation and collateral Underwriting lending transactions with a strategic perspective Monitoring counterparties and relevant subsectors Presenting insightful risk analyses to senior management Leading and mentoring junior members of the credit team The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in counterparty credit risk management or related areas, a strong technical foundation in financial agreements, and risk rating frameworks.
