Senior Associate – Transaction Advisory
A specialized advisory firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its transaction services team, supporting private equity investors, strategic acquirers, and growing businesses through the deal lifecycle. This role offers hands‑on exposure to financial due diligence and high‑impact analysis in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
Position Overview This role is heavily involved in the execution of transaction engagements, working closely with senior team members and directly interacting with clients. The position provides meaningful exposure to deal activity, financial analysis, and key decision‑making processes.
Key Responsibilities
Support buy‑side and sell‑side financial due diligence engagements
Perform detailed analysis of quality of earnings, working capital, and net debt
Analyze historical financial performance and underlying business drivers
Participate in management discussions, diligence calls, and data gathering efforts
Prepare financial analyses and contribute to client‑ready deliverables
Identify key risks, adjustments, and considerations relevant to transactions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward certification preferred)
2–4 years of experience in public accounting, audit, or transaction advisory
Strong understanding of financial statements and analytical concepts
Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets
Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
