Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill nine (9) part‑time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Marketing Assistant positions for the Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life at Oregon State University (OSU). The Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life is seeking creative and engaging students who are highly motivated, enthusiastic and gifted at visual storytelling. The position will work as members of our CFSL Launch Representatives team to produce content for the @OSUGreeks and governing council social media accounts.
Key areas of focus include planning community recruitment events, generating social media content to engage incoming and current students on TikTok and Instagram, promoting council joining opportunities and events to incoming students, and staffing the CFSL office front desk.

Position Duties
Assist with CFSL’s contributions to Launch programming such as the Resource Fair and CFSL Information Sessions
Engage with prospective students both in person and virtually
Develop virtual Launch session content
Produce original content for TikTok and Instagram featuring fraternity & sorority students
Update CFSL and governing councils’ social media posting calendar using Google Sheets
Schedule social media posts in Later (no experience required)
Assist with planning and execution of high‑profile CFSL events (Go Greek BBQ, recruitment events, Launch sessions, etc.)
Maintain the CFSL and governing councils’ websites
Staff the CFSL front desk and engage with office visitors
Be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
Meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
Meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home‑schooling program
Undergraduate and post‑baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full‑time” by USCIS. A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS) and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience using TikTok and Instagram
Confidence to reach out directly to students and arrange in‑person videos/photos
Ability to take direction and complete assignments on deadline
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
Membership in a social fraternity or sorority
Interest in marketing, public relations, communication or related fields
Experience in tabling practices and marketing
Working Conditions / Work Schedule The student worker may be required to work up to an approximate 10 hours per week.
