Generac Industrial Strategic Programs ("GISP") is responsible for originating and developing new markets for Generac Industrial Energy. The candidate will play a critical role in the advancement of existing growth market programs which GISP originated in Texas. The candidate will drive the execution of customer opportunities, which results in sales in the following markets and categories: Texas Backup Power Package (TBPPP):

$1.8B grant and loan program for microgrids commercial execution of GTM strategy Data Centers:

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), advanced controls, and microgrid solutions identify pilots for bess Commercial & Industrial (C&I):

Generators, BESS/Controls, and microgrids general strategic sales Distributed Utility Capacity:

Generators, microgrids, and BESS identify potential utilities (low) Oil & Gas:

Prime distributed generators, BESS/Controls, and microgrids (low) The position will lead origination and sales of integrated energy solutionsgenerators, storage, controls, and multi-asset systemsrequiring expertise in distributed energy resources and complex project development. The ideal candidate will understand Texas regulatory frameworks, incentive programs, and market dynamics, and will excel at engaging stakeholders from C-suite to field operations. Success in this role demands strong leadership of cross-functional teams, technical and commercial acumen, and the ability to craft customized proposals for projects. Additionally, the candidate must excel at internal collaboration and external relationship-building with Generac Industrial Distributors, Electrical Contractors, Developers, 3rd Party Financiers, and most importantly, C&I customers with varying levels of sophistication to develop and manage a robust pipeline aligned with Generac's growth objectives in Texas. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree or equivalent experience 8 years of sales or business development experience selling directly into the assigned industry Ability to travel up to 50% Preferred Qualifications: Located in a major Texas market Experience developing BTM C&I DER projects including understanding financial models for DER projects More than 5 years' experience business development, sales, and opportunity hunting experience in the DER, microgrid, backup-power, or energy markets Significant established relationships in the assigned industry Essential Duties: Drives sales outcomes by developing and managing a pipeline of projects across TBPPP, Data Centers, C&I, Distributed Utility, and Oil & Gas sectors Partner with internal teams and external partners as well as customers to deliver comprehensive solutions including generators, BESS, controls, and microgrids Understand and communicate the value proposition of Generac's technology mix for diverse applications Identify gaps in product and commercial offerings and collaborate on solutions Identify and build relationships with all relevant stakeholders Partner with GISP's deal structuring and technical teams to provide a full hardware On-site power and energy and Energy management suite of solutions, where applicable, to support partners and projects Develop a clear understanding of the technology mix (engines, fuel cells, storage, multi-asset control, PV, energy management, etc.) and the value proposition associated with them in a variety of projects Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Understanding of the energy needs and challenges faced by customers in the assigned industry and the business models around procuring energy solutions Demonstrated caliber to take on open ended challenges, innovate around business models, create partner ecosystems, and develop new business Demonstrated skills around being an energy solutions architect Demonstrated ability to develop and manage key accounts Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent presentation skills Excellent negotiation skills Organizational skills Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial culture Ability to analyze financials Knowledge of the internal processes and systems that support sales accounts Level of Independence: Acts independently under the direction of the Senior Director of Strategy and Growth Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
