Senior Strategic Sales Account Manager
Altera Corporation is seeking a highly experienced Senior Strategic Sales Account Manager with a proven track record of supporting sales at Tier 1 OEMs. This role requires a strategic, results-driven professional who can manage high-value accounts, develop long-term relationships, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have both business and technical acumen and have 15+ years of experience in sales account management selling highly technical, semiconductor solutions, and a deep understanding of Tier 1 OEM dynamics. This position is remote - the candidate must live in Texas or Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities: Manage and grow strategic relationships with Tier 1 OEM clients. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets. Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, understanding their business needs and delivering tailored solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product management, and engineering to support account growth. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities. Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and analysis for senior leadership. The compensation below is reflective of a sales role that includes a salary + incentive. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor within the US market. Required Qualifications: Minimum 15 years of experience in sales account management or related roles. Proven success supporting Tier 1 OEMs with complex sales cycles. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives. Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or higher, MBA desired (but not required) Preferred Qualifications: Experience in selling highly specialized semiconductor solutions (FPGA's, ASIC's etc.) Established network within Tier 1 OEM organizations.
