Salary: $120K+ base (flexible based on experience) + relocation support available About the Role
We are partnering with a leading company in the energy industry to hire a
Category Leader, Expert
who will play a critical role in shaping and executing strategic sourcing initiatives across key spend categories. This is a
high-impact, strategic position
where you will drive category strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and manage supplier relationships to deliver cost optimization, risk mitigation, and long-term value.
Key Responsibilities Lead
end-to-end category strategies
across assigned spend areas Drive
strategic sourcing initiatives , including RFPs, RFIs, and complex negotiations Develop and manage
supplier relationships , performance, and innovation efforts Partner with
cross-functional stakeholders
(Finance, Legal, Operations) to align sourcing with business goals Analyze
market trends, supplier landscape, and spend data
to inform decision-making Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and contract standards
✅ What We’re Looking For 6+ years of experience in
procurement, sourcing, or category management Proven experience in
end-to-end / full-cycle strategic sourcing Strong background leading
RFPs, negotiations, and contract strategy Experience managing
supplier relationships and stakeholder engagement Experience within
professional services / consulting categories
is highly preferred Familiarity with tools such as
SAP, Ariba, or similar procurement platforms
