Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Ophthalmic Assistant/Tech at our Union, NJ location. The responsibilities include conducting diagnostic tests like fundus photography, assisting doctors during exams as a scribe, preparing patients for eye exams, ensuring accurate documentation of medical histories, and performing other administrative and clinical tasks as needed. The role requires excellent organizational skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a clinical setting.
Qualifications
Proficiency in optometry-related tasks such as conducting diagnostic tests and patient care
Experience in performing fundus photography and other diagnostic imaging for ophthalmic purposes
Ability to assist physicians as a scribe and contribute to efficient documentation
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology and general medicine
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Must be bilingual, English Portuguese and or Spanish
