The Part-Time Teller serves as a frontline representative of the credit union, providing exceptional member service while accurately processing financial transactions. This role supports daily operations, promotes products and services, and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments
Balance cash drawer daily and maintain proper cash limits
Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to all members
Assist members with account inquiries and basic problem resolution
Identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services
Maintain confidentiality of member information
Follow all security procedures and fraud prevention guidelines
Support operations including filing, scanning, and administrative tasks
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic math and cash handling ability
Attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior banking or credit union experience
Sales or referral experience
Work Schedule:
Part-time hours (typically 15–25 hours per week)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (coin/cash boxes)
Manual dexterity for handling cash and operating office equipment
Performance Expectations:
Maintain a high level of accuracy in all transactions
Meet or exceed member service standards
Achieve referral and service goals (if applicable)
Adhere to attendance and scheduling expectations (Monday-Friday, no evenings, no weekends, no holidays)
Hourly wage: $13.00 to $18.00 (based on experience)
