Summary This position is located within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO), Corporate Services Acquisition Division (CSAD), with one vacancy in Silver Spring, MD.
Major Duties As a Contract Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Procure supplies and services with the most complex and difficult requirements. Advise technical personnel on the development of statements of work. Administer contracts and formulate contracting approach to secure supplies, services or construction through use of both formally advertised and negotiated procurements. Plan and conduct detailed contract price/cost analyses and review procurement actions to determine cost effectiveness. Review procurement actions to determine compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. NOTE: These duties are described at the full performance level of the GS-12; The GS-11 is developmental leading to such performance.
