Position Overview Requisition No: 873334 – Department of Health – SENIOR PARALEGAL - SES - 64085499. The senior paralegal reports to the Program Administrator and serves as the legal assistant to the attorney and Allied Section Manager within the Prosecution Services Unit (PSU). The role primarily involves supervisory responsibilities, including hiring, training, evaluating, and directing legal support staff.

Responsibilities Supervise legal support staff, monitoring workflow to ensure daily coverage and timely completion of case tasks.

Train staff on PSU case‑tracking systems, preparation of Probable Cause Panel and Board Meeting cases, and complex litigation case management.

Develop and maintain case‑tracking reports and LEIDS, compiling information into reports as required.

Prepare legal documents such as motions, notices, discovery requests and responses, and trial exhibits under direction of the attorney section manager.

Assist the Program Administrator in developing primary process documentation and creating process maps.

Respond to telephone inquiries from the public, complainants, and counsel regarding disciplinary cases.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Sound writing and organizational skills; correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar usage; and strong reading comprehension.

Computer skills with MS Office; ability to learn case‑tracking systems and other applications.

Ability to plan, manage, and organize work priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines.

Ability to handle complaints and public interactions, compile and analyze data, and maintain confidentiality.

Effective communication and ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.

Preferred Candidates Should Possess Effective communication and relationship‑building skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Prioritizing and organizing workflow.

Minimum Qualifications 1+ years of supervisory experience. 2+ years of administrative experience, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, data entry, and document preparation.
