Senior Paralegal – SES
Responsibilities
Supervises legal support staff, overseeing daily coverage and task allocation to meet caseload demands.
Plays a key role in recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplining subordinate employees.
Develops performance expectations, conducts regular performance reviews, and maintains vacation and work schedules.
Manages case tracking, ensuring accurate updates to LEIDS and producing reports for attorneys.
Prepares legal documents such as motions, notices, discovery requests, and trial exhibits under the direction of the attorney section manager.
Coordinates complex litigation activities including trial notebooks, deposition schedules, witness conferences, and pre‑trial meetings.
Assists the Program Administrator with process design, writing primary processes, and creating process maps.
Responds to telephone inquiries from the public regarding disciplinary cases.
Performs any additional duties as assigned by the Program Administrator.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
Minimum 2 years administrative experience, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, data entry, and document preparation.
Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with case tracking systems.
Ability to plan, manage priorities, multitask, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile, organize and analyze data and create reports.
Knowledge of handling complaints and dealing with the public.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
