Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to join our Sales and Engineering Office in Southfield, Michigan. In this role, you will negotiate, draft, review, and manage a wide array of contracts to ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal standards. Your expertise will support procurement activities, vendor relationships, and strategic business initiatives, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
Draft contracts, such as employment contracts and non‑compete agreements
Draft legal contracts, correspondence, and other documents
Analyze and negotiate contracts, terms & conditions, quality documents, and related items
Act as the contact person to German headquarters, insurance brokers, and authorities
Advise US/MX CEO and US/MX QM/sales colleagues
Provide timely analysis and summaries of new legislation/regulations affecting the business
Assist in implementing changes to contracts to comply with legislation/regulations
Support litigation, mediation, arbitration, and responses to complaints
Renew and maintain company licensing
Draft, file, and manage various business entity documents for corporations with state agencies
Create and distribute annual reports
Competencies
Degree in law, business law, or a related field
Experience in the automotive industry
High social and negotiation skills
Attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking skills
Resilient, flexible, creative, and initiative‑driven
Fluency in English, Spanish, and/or German is advantageous
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
