About the Role Join us at S&P Global Ratings, the world’s leading provider of credit ratings. You’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting high‑impact marketing initiatives across digital channels, content distribution, campaign execution, events, and performance measurement—while learning how marketing drives awareness, engagement, and demand in a highly regulated, fast‑moving financial services environment.

The Team The S&P Global Ratings Marketing team is collaborative and driven, focusing on Digital, Content, Campaigns, Events, and Demand Generation. It promotes Ratings’ thought leadership, research, and product narratives by optimizing channel strategy, content, and performance reporting across web, email, and social media. You’ll collaborate with marketers and partners to support execution, improve consistency, and scale best practices.

Responsibilities and Impact As a Marketing Summer Intern, you will:

Support multi‑channel marketing efforts by coordinating campaign deliverables across web, email, and social platforms—ensuring assets are accurate, on‑brand, and delivered on time.

Assist with content publishing and optimization by supporting webpage updates, email, social media, and basic QA.

Support the events team with upcoming events and learn about various event formats, tools, and functionalities.

Gain an understanding of Demand Gen and how to turn insights into action by compiling campaign and website performance snapshots (e.g., engagement, traffic, conversions), identifying trends, and synthesizing data.

Participate in a structured intern project with a small cohort—solving a real marketing challenge (e.g., improving a user journey, increasing content engagement, strengthening a distribution plan, launching a new product)—and present recommendations at the end of the program.

Learn marketing operations and governance by following approval workflows and understanding how we ensure external‑facing content meets policy and compliance standards.

Discover how AI enhances modern marketing by utilizing approved AI tools to speed up research, synthesize data, and refine draft outputs.

Compensation/Benefits Information

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $25 to $30. The final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.

This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For Basic Required Qualifications

Fully matriculated students with anticipated undergraduate graduation date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027

Majors welcome; Marketing, Communications, Business, Economics, Digital Media, Data/Analytics, or related fields preferred

Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to turn complex topics into clear, audience‑friendly messaging (strong “storytelling” mindset)

Comfortable working with data and dashboards to summarize performance and identify trends. Attention to detail is key.

Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel; able to create clean, stakeholder‑ready summaries and slides

Strong relationship‑building and collaboration skills; able to work across multiple stakeholders and deliver on deadlines.

Proactive, organized, and adaptable—able to operate in a dynamic environment shaped by evolving AI and technology

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Has had some exposure to marketing concepts

Familiarity with marketing tools and workflows

Interest in AI‑enabled marketing
