Simply stated, the Outreach Coordinator role supports the team in all areas relating to client projects.Typical work tasks vary widely, but examples include creating engagement plans, scheduling public workshops, creating website content, stakeholder/partner engagement, engaging with community members and interest groups, responding to inquiries from clients and the public, writing detailed summaries of meetings and events, and much more.This position offers significant exposure to community decision-making processes and learning opportunities in the city planning and communications fields.

Desired qualifications and experience include: Possess strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to stay organized in the face of multiple tasks and deadlines; Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal to a variety of audiences) Strong interpersonal communication skills (team player) Experience with community outreach and engagement a plus Passionate, positive attitude about changing communities Responsibilities
Assist and support all aspects of a project, from planning and implementation to wrap-up. Plan, coordinate, and execute special events, including scheduling, logistics, promotion, materials preparation, “day of” coordination, and wrap-up. Assist with planning, coordinating, and facilitating public and stakeholder meetings, including scheduling, coordination with the project team, logistics, materials preparation, attendance and facilitation, and meeting summaries. Maintain professionalism and responsiveness with project team members, key stakeholders, and community members. Draft content for newsletters, social media posts, press releases, project websites, blogs, and informational materials. Manage social media accounts, follow up with requests, track metrics and propose innovative ideas for additional engagement. Assisted with project management tasks, including project team and client coordination. Monitor and assist with company website and social media channel updates and content development. Assist with administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications
B.A. in communications, outreach, marketing, public relations, planning, or related field. 3+ years of prior experience as an event coordinator or engagement specialist preferred Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the leadership team Proficient in a variety of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn. Ability to manage multiple projects Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with individuals across all organizational levels Ability to work independently and prioritize projects to meet deadlines. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience with Adobe Creative Suite Willing to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends. Salary and Benefits
