Commercial/Industrial Sales Account Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a technically skilled and relationship-oriented Commercial / Industrial Sales Account Manager to drive growth across the Greater Metro Atlanta region.
Ideal candidates will have a mechanical or related engineering background and a proven ability to combine technical expertise with consultative selling. This role focuses on generating revenue through:
Retrofit and capital improvement projects
Long-term client partnerships
Preventative maintenance (PM) agreements and service contracts
You will act as a trusted advisor to clients while building a robust, high-performing sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities Technical Sales & Engineering Solutions
Serve as a technical subject‑matter expert for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Assess system performance and provide engineering‑based recommendations
Work closely with estimating, preconstruction, and operations teams to develop scopes and pricing
Deliver solution‑focused proposals emphasizing efficiency, reliability, and lifecycle optimization
Business Development & Revenue Growth
Build and manage a $5M annual revenue pipeline
Identify and pursue opportunities with industrial clients, facility managers, owners, and general contractors
Conduct site visits, networking, and proactive outreach to cultivate new business
Preventative Maintenance & Recurring Revenue
Expand preventative maintenance (PM) agreements across commercial and industrial facilities
Convert reactive service opportunities into long‑term service contracts
Strengthen recurring revenue streams and improve client retention
Account Management
Build and maintain long‑term, trust‑based relationships with key stakeholders
Expand share of wallet through cross‑selling service, PM agreements, and project work
Serve as the primary point of contact for all client needs, opportunities, and escalations
Internal Collaboration
Partner with service, estimating, preconstruction, and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery
Facilitate smooth handoffs from sales through execution
Provide market insights and client feedback to leadership to support strategic decision‑making
Qualifications
5 years of experience in mechanical contracting, technical sales, or engineering‑driven sales
Strong understanding of commercial and industrial mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, plumbing)
Experience selling service agreements, PM contracts, or mechanical retrofits
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Experience working with industrial facilities, manufacturing environments, or complex mechanical systems
Existing network or relationships within the Metro Atlanta market (preferred)
Familiarity with CRM and construction management platforms (Salesforce, Monday.com, Procore, etc.)

Development and management of a $5M book of business
Recognition as a trusted technical advisor to clients
Growth in preventative maintenance and recurring service revenue
Consistent achievement of revenue, margin, and client satisfaction goals
