The Employee Relations Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, providing guidance, support and resolution strategies to employees and managers. This role is responsible for managing employee concerns, facilitating investigations, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws, and promoting a positive workplace culture. The Employee Relations Specialist collaborates with People Success Business Partners and leadership to address issues proactively and supports initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. Schedule:

4 Days per week, 10 Hours per day, Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm |

Brier Clinic, San Bernardino, CA Essential Functions and Deliverables

Serves as the primary point of contact for employees and managers on workplace concerns, conflicts and policy interpretations. Conducts investigations into employee complaints, workplace issues, and policy violations, ensuring thorough documentation and fair resolution. Provides guidance and coaching to managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee engagement strategies. Collaborates with People Success Business Partners and leaderships to develop and implement programs that promote a positive and compliant work environment. Monitors and analyzes employee relations trends, providing recommendations to mitigate risk and enhance organizational culture. Prepares, tracks and maintains ER metrics for investigations and assist with reports for senior management. Assists in developing and updating procedures, tools and resources to provide to managers to address workplace concerns, disciplinary actions, and investigations. Maintains accurate, confidential case documentation. Other duties as outlined in the official job description. Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field is preferred. Licensure/Certification: PHR or SPHR certification or Certified Professional (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a Human Resources Generalist, Human Resources Business Partner, or related Employee Relations role is required. Demonstrated experience in Employee Relations, Dispute Resolution, and Workplace Investigations is required. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Must possess strong computer and data-entry skills with proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and electronic file management. The role requires the ability to accurately enter, audit, and retrieve data; operate standard office equipment; and follow standardized workflows for processing employee documents and reports. Essential motor skills include the ability to sit for extended periods, perform repetitive hand motions for typing and filing, lift up to 20-25 pounds, and reach or bend to organize files and office materials. Together, these technical and physical abilities ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant support of People Success operations. Interpersonal Skills: Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including professionalism, empathy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all interactions. This role requires clear and courteous communication by phone, in person, and in writing with employees, leaders, patients, students, residents, and external partners. Must be committed to supporting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, building positive and respectful working relationships across all levels of the organization. The ability to remain patient, approachable, and service-oriented under pressure and while meeting strict deadlines is essential. Strong active listening skills, tact, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members contribute to a smooth and responsive People Success experience. Essential Mental Abilities: Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and set appropriate priorities to meet tight deadlines and performance targets. Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to accurately deliver effective results in a fast-paced environment are essential. The role requires effective problem‑solving abilities, including the capacity to analyze information, identify discrepancies, and recommend solutions. Must be able to remain focused, organized, and adaptable amidst shifting demands while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
