Specialist, Neuromodulations Conventions & Events. The Specialist, Neuromodulations Conventions & Events develops and drives Abbott’s Neuromodulation strategy to ensure a successful presence at key healthcare conventions & events in support of business goals, divisional objectives and company mission.This position is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of convention & event programs to support the business and deliver results. What You’ll Work On
Reporting to and working closely with the Global Director, Conventions & Events, this person is responsible for managing the strategic and execution of conventions and events.
Responsible for the successful planning and execution of Tier 1 & 2 conventions, ancillary programs and other event activities.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of program goals and objectives while also recognizing that these high visibility activities have a direct impact on the company’s image in the industry – bolstering trust and enhancing relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, regulatory agencies, societies and other key stakeholders.
Liaison with specific geographies, such as Europe, Canada, Latin America and Asia Pacific, and provide direction to ensure consistent global messaging and strategy.
Act as primary lead for key congresses and events.
Manage inventory of exhibit properties and collateral.
Comply with the Sunshine Act and other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Bachelors Degree Preferably in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, English OR An equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 5 years professional experience in marketing communications, advertising or other similar field within the Medical Device Industry or another regulated industry.
Proven track record of delivering measurable, successful multi-channel, sales- enabling communication campaigns. Strong knowledge and experience with SEO, SEM and Social Media best practices preferred.
Advanced skills in PowerPoint and other design software preferred.
Demonstrated project management experience.
Experience working in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of interdisciplinary teams that include product managers, designers, agencies, and marketing automation teams.
Self-starter who takes initiative, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to independently manage multiple projects towards aggressive deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
