Contract Specialist – Remote USA The role focuses on revenue protection, risk mitigation, and contract‑driven growth. Beyond managing contract language and compliance, the specialist engages directly with clients on redlines, negotiates commercial terms within approved parameters, and serves as the operational gatekeeper prior to signature. In close partnership with Legal, Finance, Sales, Delivery, and Revenue Operations, the role ensures financial alignment and policy adherence while proactively identifying upsell, renewal, pricing, and scope expansion opportunities. The position is a key driver of deal acceleration, margin protection, and incremental revenue growth.

Role Responsibilities

Contract Management & Administration

Control commercial language and protect the company.

Work directly with clients on redline requirements and adjust under known acceptance criteria.

Coordinate internal redline reviews across Legal, Finance, Tax, Risk, and Delivery as necessary.

Negotiate commercial terms (not legal strategy) and maintain fallback positions for key clauses.

Ensure consistency across business units.

Review Statements of Work, MSAs, and Order Forms for completeness and compliance.

Maintain accurate contract records, amendments, renewals, and documentation.

Monitor key contract dates, obligations, and performance milestones.

Contract Expansion & Revenue Growth

Analyze existing contracts to identify opportunities for upselling, cross‑selling, renewals, extensions, and scope expansions.

Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Business Development teams to develop expansion strategies.

Track utilization rates, service gaps, and performance metrics to recommend contract modifications.

Identify pricing optimization opportunities and value‑added service enhancements.

Prepare business cases and financial analyses to support expansion proposals.

Support internal audits of existing contracts and validate contract terms align with billing setup.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Serve as a strategic advisor on contractual risk and growth opportunities.

Collaborate with Finance to assess margin impact and revenue projections for proposed expansions.

Support client discussions related to amendments, renewals, and scope changes.

Coordinate with Legal to mitigate risk while maximizing commercial value.

Work with Revenue Operations to ensure data alignment and tracking.

Act as the operational gatekeeper before contract signature.

Risk & Compliance Management

Evaluate contractual risks and propose balanced solutions.

Ensure contract amendments align with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, legal studies, or related fields.

3+ years of relevant experience in contract administration, procurement, or commercial operations.

Demonstrated ability to identify revenue growth or contract expansion opportunities.

Experience in B2B environments.

Familiarity with CRM and contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems.

Knowledge of pricing strategy and revenue optimization principles.

Combination of relevant experience and educational background may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

Work Environment

Work schedules determined by business need and manager discretion; full time employment considered 40 hours per week.

In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position: Target pay range $62,000‑$105,000. Actual pay will vary depending on factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, qualifications, location, and internal equity. All offers comply with local, state, and federal minimum wage requirements.

In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Additional ENGIE benefits include a 401(k) plan, paid time off, paid holidays, and an annual bonus.
