MMA Personal Training Sales Manager

The MMA Personal Training Sales Manager plays a key leadership role in delivering an exceptional member experience while driving MMA programming, private training, and retail revenue. This position is ideal for a sales-driven professional who is passionate about health, fitness, and combat sports, and who has personal training experience in both grappling and striking disciplines. The ideal candidate understands MMA culture, terminology, and training formats well enough to confidently communicate value, demonstrate workouts, and guide members into appropriate MMA programs. A background in training environments such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, Muay Thai, boxing, or similar disciplines is strongly preferred. The MMA Personal Training Sales Manager leads from the frontselling, servicing, and promoting MMA-focused training while supporting and coordinating with the MMA coaching staff. This role is highly relationship-driven and requires strong communication skills, comfort with sales, and the ability to motivate members to take action. In addition to revenue generation, this position supports club operations, addresses member concerns, assists with employee relations, and ensures scheduling and timekeeping accuracy. The role requires flexible availability, including a mix of mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed to support member demand and business needs, and is accountable for meeting or exceeding company revenue goals for MMA programs, private training, and retail sales. The MMA Personal Training Sales Manager reports directly to the Fitness Manager and/or General Manager. This role works closely with MMA and fitness coaching staff and is responsible for communicating, reinforcing, and upholding all company policies and procedures. Daily interaction with club members and employees is required. Strong working knowledge of personal training principles, including assessments, program design, client retention, and sales. Hands-on experience training in both grappling and striking disciplines (e.g., BJJ, wrestling, Muay Thai, boxing, or similar), with the ability to demonstrate workouts and speak confidently about MMA programming. Strong sales acumen with the ability to build rapport, uncover needs, and close training and retail sales. Ability to safely operate and adjust all fitness equipment. Working knowledge of company policies, safety standards, and emergency procedures. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a confident, professional, and positive demeanor. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build trust quickly. Clear verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Adherence to all meal and rest break requirements and accurate timekeeping practices. Minimum of one certification recognized by UFC Gym. Current CPR/AED certification. High school diploma or GED required. Four-year degree in a related field recognized by UFC Gym (preferred). Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in sales, personal training, MMA program sales, or fitness leadership. Prior experience in management or employee relations preferred. A background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, Muay Thai, boxing, or similar disciplines is strongly preferred. Regularly required to stand, walk, and move throughout the club. Physical demands include lifting, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 45+ lbs.
