The Real Estate Photo Editor is responsible for enhancing and retouching property photographs to create high-quality, professional, and visually appealing images for real estate listings and marketing materials. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, technical proficiency in photo editing software, and the ability to maintain a consistent visual standard that highlights each property's best features in the competitive Manhattan, KS market.

Key Responsibilities

Image Enhancement:

Perform comprehensive editing on raw images (Interior, Exterior, and Aerial) to meet or exceed company and client quality standards.

Corrections and Adjustments:

Adjust lighting, exposure, brightness, and contrast.

Correct color balance and white balance to ensure true-to-life representation.

Perform perspective and lens corrections to ensure straight vertical and horizontal lines.

Advanced Retouching:

Execute techniques such as HDR (High Dynamic Range) blending and Flambient (Flash/Ambient) blending.

Perform sky replacements and window masking to showcase exterior views.

Remove minor blemishes, distracting objects, and clutter (e.g., cords, small stains).

Workflow Management:

Manage and organize large volumes of digital assets efficiently.

Ensure a fast turnaround time for edited images, often working with tight deadlines.

Prepare final images in required file formats and resolutions for web listings (MLS, Zillow, etc.) and print.

Quality Control:

Maintain a high and consistent standard of visual quality across all delivered photos.

Communication:

Collaborate effectively with real estate photographers, agents, and marketing staff to understand specific editing needs and branding guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

Proven experience (e.g., 1+ years) in high-volume real estate photo editing or a related field, evidenced by a strong professional portfolio.

Technical Proficiency:

Expert knowledge of industry-standard photo editing software, including:

Adobe Photoshop

(for advanced retouching, object removal, blending)

Adobe Lightroom

(for batch processing, color/light correction)

Visual Acuity:

A strong understanding of photographic principles, composition, lighting, and color theory, especially as they apply to architectural and interior spaces.

Detail-Oriented:

Exceptional attention to detail to spot and correct minor imperfections.

Time Management:

Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet strict deadlines, and manage a fast-paced workflow.

Local Knowledge (Preferred):

Familiarity with common real estate listing requirements and architectural styles prevalent in the Manhattan, KS and surrounding "Little Apple" area.

Pay Range

$13.00-17.50/Hour Based upon Experience

Requires prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.

Must be able to communicate effectively via email, phone, and/or video conferencing.
