The primary responsibility of the Marketing Manager is to develop, implement, monitor and measure the annual integrated marketing and communications plan to support the business objectives for Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa. The plan(s) should include objectives(s), strategies and tactics for the hotel’s market segments and outlets (bars and restaurants). The ultimate goal is to heighten market presence, increase positive awareness, strengthen brand loyalty, increase market share and most importantly, produce increased revenues and profitability. The Marketing Manager will promote awareness and maintain a positive brand image of the property and outlets on a local, regional and international level through consistent and targeted public relations and marketing and digital campaigns. In conjunction with the Corporate Field Marketing team, create, activate, monitor and measure annual, integrated 360-degree marketing plans Ensure marketing plans support the efforts of sales, revenue and events teams Lead budgeting, activation and assessment of programs in order to maximize investment Coordinate all communications between internal key stakeholders and external vendor partnerships to meet all marketing targets and deadlines Monitor competitive hotel actions and communicate findings Ensure all marketing materials and assets (websites, digital banners, sales collateral, promotional flyers, invitations, etc.) are within brand standards Provide input in creative direction in concept development, copy and design for visual materials for promotions, web projects, PowerPoint presentations, invitations, printed collateral and internal communications using design software such as Adobe Photoshop Plan, research or coordinate with approved vendors and supervise the production of marketing materials, in-house collateral, and promotional and internal communications materials. Primary contact for vendors Coordinate and assist with initiatives including photo shoots Assist in organizing and planning property specific events Manage annual agency budgets and plans (public relations, advertising and online) as well as the local hotel marketing plan and budget Support Digital Cluster Manager on the implementation of digital recommendations Manage content strategy and messaging in website and digital channels (site content, campaigns, email marketing, digital assets, etc.) Evaluate promotional and programming opportunities presented to hotel. Develop promotions and partnerships to meet the hotel’s marketing and revenue objectives Forge and maintain relationships with organizations including key local and industry-related organizations – CVB, Chamber of Commerce, local government, hospitality trade associations, etc. Assist DOSM with preparation of marketing performance recap for owner’s meetings Public Relations

Oversee reputation management channels such as guest comment cards, online travel-related review sites (Trip Advisor, Yelp! and Google) to generate positive exposure Develop an action plan for guest engagement via Trip Advisor Review and approve (along with GM and DOSM) all hotel press releases Primary hotel contact for all public relations initiatives Develop, coordinate and publicize special events to generate positive awareness and support the marketing revenue objectives of the hotel and outlets, as needed Provide direction to the public relations agency on media placement goals in targeted media outlets Foster relationships with media at a local, national, and international level Engage with media representatives as necessary Coordinate proactive and reactive onsite press stays/visits Coordinate with agency to secure and execute press FAM trips and/or partner with local CVB on existing FAM trips and individual journalist visits Execute recommended corporate PR initiatives at property level Develop and regularly update hotel press kit, photography, and b-roll Manage and handle all requests for on-property filming, including development of location fee schedule, assessing value of requests for trade for filming and managing on-property coordination and billing Social Media

Develop, coordinate, execute, and maintain a social media plan including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok Coordinate planning, investment and reporting with social media agency Coordinate quarterly agency meetings to review performance, provide guidance to maximize future programs and develop new ideas Manage social media strategy, messaging and ideation for hotel and outlet: identity, content calendar, and driving followers and engagement Work closely with cluster digital marketing manager on paid social media activity supporting sales/revenue initiatives Administrative

Provide ongoing marketing leadership and guidance to Leadership Committee Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting of efforts. Identify cadence for the hotel’s weekly marketing meetings with resort departments. Develop agenda in advance as well as manage follow-up and action items Attend weekly strategy meetings Host hotel’s monthly marketing and public relations meetings Participate in brand training and annual regional Marketing Summit Qualifications

Your experience: A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment Refined verbal and written communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business is preferred Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset Minimum 2-4 years relevant experience in an integrated marketing role (digital, events/PR, marketing/communications) Experience working in a fast paced, digital marketing environment Strong media knowledge across all platforms (wired, mobile, social, OTT and broadcast) Strong written and presentation skills Excellent organizational skills Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects at once Well-connected within the market with the ability to seek and build new relationships to help support business objectives Web research skills and familiarity with major social media resources required Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal Minimum of two years’ experience within Resort Sales and or Marketing Minimum of Two years’ digital marketing experience including e-commerce, mobile marketing, email marketing and social media engagement Must be Proficient in the following computer programs: Opera, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva (or similar) Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds Results driven, energetic, and focused Service oriented style with professional presentations skills Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line Must have physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate amounts of weight Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances Open scheduling availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays What You Will Love About Us
