Duties / Responsibilities Content Creation & Design

Design graphics, short‑form videos, and other multimedia content using the Center’s Canva account.

Create content to promote faculty media appearances, research, clinical services, events, and center news.

Adapt and repurpose content across platforms to fit the audience and format of each.

Propose and develop ideas for content campaigns, recurring series, or seasonal content that advance the Center’s visibility and mission.

Ensure all content adheres to UGA Brand Guidelines (brand.uga.edu) and the Center’s social media style guide.

Social Media Management & Scheduling

Develop and maintain a content calendar for consistent, planned posting across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.

Schedule and publish content using Meta Business Suite (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn’s native tools.

Monitor trends in social media to inform content strategy and keep the Center’s presence current.

Community Engagement

Monitor and respond to comments and interactions on Center accounts in a timely and professional manner.

Engage with relevant content from partner organizations, faculty, and UGA units to increase visibility.

Analytics & Reporting

Track social media performance metrics on a regular basis, including reach, engagement, and follower growth.

Provide brief periodic reports with insights and observations to inform ongoing content decisions.

Supervision & Collaboration

Meet biweekly with the Assistant Director to review content, upcoming priorities, and performance.

Receive content ideas, news links, and direction from center leadership; exercise creativity and judgment in execution.

Position Summary The Love and Money Center at the University of Georgia’s College of Family and Consumer Sciences is an interdisciplinary center supporting relational and financial well‑being through clinical services, student training, faculty research, media engagement, and campus and community outreach. Our clinic offers individual therapy, couple and family therapy, and financial planning and coaching services. Our faculty affiliates are nationally recognized scholars and practitioners, and our work regularly reaches national media outlets and the broader public. We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator to help share that work across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram — creating graphics, short‑form video, and other content that connects our center with clients, students, professionals, and the general public. This position is well‑suited for an individual looking to build a portfolio of paid, real‑world social media and content creation work.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Demonstrated experience with social media content creation, including through coursework, class projects, or personal work.

Proficiency with Canva or comparable graphic design tools.

Familiarity with LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram from a content creation or management perspective.

Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate proactively.

Familiarity with UGA Brand Guidelines or experience working within institutional brand standard.

Experience with social media scheduling or analytics tools.

Interest in financial well‑being, mental health, relationships, or family science topics.
