Job Summary VKB Homes is seeking a talented and motivated Interior Designer to join our team. This role is responsible for leading clients through the design and selection process for residential remodeling projects, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to construction.
The ideal candidate has an Interior Design Degree, at least 3 years experience in residential interior design, remodeling, space planning and material selection. They also need to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Meet with clients to understand project goals, style, and budget.
Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and space plans to present renderings to clients.
Guide clients through finish and material selections (cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, lighting, etc.).
Create and maintain detailed design documentation for project execution.
Collaborate with sales, project managers, and field teams.
Ensure designs are functional, buildable, and aligned with project scope.
Maintain timelines and keep projects moving forward.
Provide exceptional client communication throughout the design process.
Requirements
Interior Design degree (4 year preferred).
3 years of proven experience as a Residential Interior Designer.
Knowledge of the residential remodeling and construction process.
Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and design trends.
Experience with space planning and layout development.
Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Chief Architect, SketchUp, or similar).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
