Marketing Writer (Editorial & Strategy Focus)
Most marketing copy today is “fine.”
Technically correct. Grammatically sound. Even SEO-optimized.
And completely forgettable.
We’re not looking for someone who can produce more of that.
We’re looking for a writer who can
tell the difference between acceptable copy and effective copy—and knows how to close that gap.
About the Role This is not a high-volume content production role.
It’s an editorial and strategic role focused on improving the quality, clarity, and effectiveness of messaging across our client work—especially in an AI-assisted environment.
You’ll spend as much time
editing, refining, and challenging content
as you will writing it.
You’ll work across campaigns, websites, and content initiatives for financial institutions and other regulated industries—helping translate complex topics into clear, persuasive, and human communication.
What You’ll Actually Do
Write and refine marketing copy across web, email, social, and campaign assets
Edit and elevate existing content—often AI-assisted drafts—into clear, effective, on‑brand messaging
Identify when copy is “technically correct” but strategically weak—and fix it
Collaborate with strategists, designers, and account teams to align messaging with audience, intent, and business goals
Maintain and enforce brand voice across multiple clients and contributors
Translate complex financial concepts into simple, accurate, and engaging communication
Apply SEO/GEO best practices without sacrificing clarity or quality
How You Think (This Matters More Than Tools)
You can quickly spot the difference between copy that works and copy that just exists
You understand why something is being written—not just what it says
You are comfortable questioning and rewriting work that doesn’t meet the bar
You value clarity, tone, and intent over volume and speed
