Digital Communications Intern (Part-Time) Embarking on its 50th year of providing housing resources to Oklahoma families, the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency is now hiring a paid Digital Communications Intern to support the agency’s communications and storytelling initiatives.
This internship offers the opportunity to gain real-world communications experience while supporting an agency whose mission directly impacts communities across Oklahoma. The Digital Communications Intern will contribute to meaningful projects that help share stories of affordable housing, community development, and public service.
OHFA is home to PRSA Oklahoma City’s three-time Small Communications Team of the Year.
About the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency The Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency provides housing opportunities to Oklahomans all over the state through a variety of housing initiatives. This internship offers hands‑on experience in digital communications, social media strategy, and multimedia content creation within a public sector environment.
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week will be scheduled between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday-Thursday
Location: This position is based at OHFA’s headquarters, 100 N.W. 63rd Street, Oklahoma City
Supervision: Reports to the Communications Manager
Duration: Up to six months, depending on the availability of the selected applicant

Minimum Qualifications
Junior, senior, or graduate-level student pursuing a degree in public relations, marketing, strategic communications, journalism, or a related field
Skills
Strong writing and communication skills utilizing AP style
Understanding of social media platforms, their audiences, and their business purpose
Experience with content creation including graphic design and video production using tools such as Canva, Edits, and Adobe Creative Cloud
Ability to apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting
Familiarity with WordPress
Responsibilities
Share OHFA’s mission through digital communication and storytelling initiatives
Collaborate with staff to brainstorm creative strategies that support agency objectivesCreate and schedule engaging content for OHFA’s social media platforms, including graphics, photography, video, and copywriting
Shoot and edit short‑form videos highlighting OHFA programs for use on social media and the agency website
Assist with maintaining digital content across OHFA platforms
