This position is a hybrid in‑office role that works out of our Boston HQ (Tuesday‑Thursday will be working in office and Friday is work from home). This is not a virtual / remote position.
At this time, Wayfair will not sponsor applicants for this position for the following work visas: F1‑OPT, STEM OPT EAD, H‑1B, H‑1B1, E‑3, O‑1, J‑1, or TN.

Wayfair is seeking a creative, collaborative, and detail‑oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Copywriter for our Specialty Retail Brands (Joss & Main, Birch Lane, AllModern). In this role, you’ll translate business goals into compelling, on‑brand marketing content that drives customer engagement and action. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with proven experience writing for a retail audience and success in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do
Under the guidance of the Copy Manager and in close collaboration with your Design Partners, concept and write short‑and long‑form copy across marketing channels and brand touchpoints – such as omni‑channel campaigns and promotions, editorial site content, email and social media, physical retail signage, and digital ads.
Champion the brands’ voice standards and messaging strategy to drive brand consistency and evolution. We are on a mission to become stronger, stickier brands with raised awareness and brand affinity. Our words are one important part of the puzzle to get us there, and helping to define them will be your challenge.
Use Wayfair’s wealth of performance metrics and other data to guide smarter creative decisions.
Prioritize efficiency, creating and updating templates and AI prompts to produce work quickly and to our high standards. Explore new ways to unlock AI tools as technology evolves.
Live in lockstep with your cross‑functional partners. You'll be responsible for maintaining seamless communication, understanding their goals, and effectively producing creative that supports (and furthers) those objectives.
Engage in thoughtful critiques with creative peers and cross‑functional partners, both responding positively to and offering constructive feedback. Remain objective, adaptable, and open to revisions.
Do all of the above in a fast‑paced environment where deadlines are daily and the volume of work is high. The pace should thrill you, not derail you.
Who You Are
3‑5 years experience writing for a retail audience (either in‑house or at an agency) in the home, fashion, or lifestyle space.
Known for your meticulous attention to detail, ability to multitask, and organizational powers.
Deeply obsessed with home furnishings, interior design, and style.
Understanding of how to tell stories about trend & product.
Comfortable writing both actionable short‑form copy (think: subject lines, Facebook ads, etc.) and also more complex storytelling (buying guides, editorial emails, etc.).
Endlessly curious about the customer – their passions, needs, and pain points.
An expert collaborator and someone who works well with other writers and designers.
Strong ability to articulate your ideas and opinions and self‑advocate, with proof points to ground them.
Experience with and positivity toward AI tools.
