Director of Research | Life Sciences

Seeking a strategic and commercially driven Director of Research | Life Sciences to play a critical role in advancing the organizations transformation into a leading data-enabled healthcare partner. This individual will be responsible for operationalizing firms extensive clinical data assets to support research, innovation, and real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives. The Director will lead efforts to identify, develop, and expand partnerships across life sciences organizations, academic institutions, and public health agencies - positioning firm as a trusted partner in data-driven research and population health improvement. This is a highly visible role requiring a blend of healthcare domain expertise, business development capability, and executive-level stakeholder engagement. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Business, or related field (Masters degree preferred) 7+ years of experience in healthcare, life sciences, research partnerships, or business development Proven track record of building strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth Experience working with life sciences companies, academic medical centers, research institutions, or public health agencies Strong understanding of: Clinical and healthcare data ecosystems | Interoperability and data exchange | Real-world data (RWD) applications Experience navigating research governance frameworks (IRB, DUAs, HIPAA considerations) Experience working with Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) Familiarity with platforms such as InterSystems HealthShare Background in: Real-world evidence (RWE) | Clinical research | Population health analytics Experience supporting or leading grant-funded research initiatives Exposure to AI and advanced analytics in healthcare research Strategic thinker with strong commercial and business acumen Executive presence with ability to influence senior stakeholders Strong communicator able to translate complex data into business value Relationship builder with proven ability to drive partnerships and collaboration Results-oriented with a focus on growth, innovation, and measurable impact This role will sit
