
Plumbing Designer

Overview
As part of the Buildings Group for Garver, this Plumbing Designer will be responsible for developing plumbing designs in support of various Buildings Business Line projects. Specifically, this responsibility will include a variety of projects related to leading the planning, design, and commissioning of building domestic water systems, building sanitary sewer systems, and building roof/storm drain systems.

Building sanitary sewer systems
Building roof/storm drain systems
Coordinate with other support disciplines and regional offices
Assist engineers in the plumbing system design of building projects
Follow quality assurance and quality control plans
Abilities and Attributes
Knowledge of building plumbing system principles
Interfacing with project teams on design, delivery, and construction
Managing project budget and schedule compliance
Plumbing design of building projects throughout the project lifecycle (conceptual, design, construction)
Utilizing BIM design software to produce construction drawings
Utilize software‑based calculation tools for design calculations
Manage multiple assignments concurrently
Time‑management and product quality responsibility
Follow Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans
Responsible for continuing education and learning based on project and team needs
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of building plumbing system design and construction experience
Knowledge of building plumbing system principles related to design
Proven experience with plumbing system designs, including detailed plans and specifications for building projects
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Experience with Autodesk Revit
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Preferred Skills
Medical gas system design experience
Petroleum, oil, and lubricating (POL) design experience
Food service plumbing systems design experience
Fire sprinkler system design experience
Experience with AIA MasterSpec
