The Associate Art Director is responsible for the development and execution of visual concepts across campaigns and brand initiatives. Working closely with agency teams, this role will help translate strategic ideas into compelling creative, ensuring consistency across digital, social, print, and integrated channels.
In a part-time capacity (20-25 hours per week), this role balances hands-on design work with concept development, contributing to brainstorming sessions, refining layouts, and maintaining brand standards while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities
Support the development of creative concepts across integrated campaigns, including digital, social, print, and experiential
Translate creative briefs and strategic insights into compelling visual concepts and systems
Execute high-quality design work that aligns with brand guidelines and strategic objectives
Collaborate closely with copywriters, strategists, and account teams to bring ideas to life
Assist Art and Creative Directors in concepting, mood boards, and visual storytellingOwn smaller projects from concept through final production with minimal oversight
Ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables and touchpoints
Prepare files for production and work with vendors or developers as needed
Present work internally and occasionally to clients, clearly articulating design decisions
Translate team and client feedback into clear solutions that resolve creative issues and concerns
Requirements
Must be located in Southern California, Boise, ID, or Nashville, TN
7+ years of professional design experience in an agency role or environment
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects/Figma a plus)
Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking and polished execution across multiple channels
Solid understanding of typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy
Basic understanding of production processes (print, digital, and/or motion)
Attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Compensation Range: $43-$47/hour
