within a leading food distributor offering exclusive and national brands and services designed to enhance client profitability.
As a Territory Manager, you’ll shape customer relationships and drive business growth by nurturing existing accounts and pursuing new opportunities. The role focuses on performance, passion, and partnerships with the potential to drive earnings and incentives.

What You’ll Do as a Territory Manager
Be the Customer Champion : Own and nurture customer relationships in a team-based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms, provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies to help customers succeed.
Drive Sales Success : Sell to customers, increase case growth, and acquire new business. Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor your approach to individual customers. Manage time and territory effectively.
Team Based Selling : Collaborate with Specialists to pursue top penetration opportunities and new accounts. Work with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery.
Lead with Insight : Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases and business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations, clubs, trade shows, and conferences.
Delivery Resolution : Manage deliveries to the routing schedule; troubleshoot delivery issues (e.g., mis-picks, load shortages, stock-outs).
Competitive Advantage : Understand market conditions, product innovations, competitors’ offerings, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services.
Stay on the Move : Drive a personal vehicle to conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
Supervision • No direct reports.
Work Environment • Daily outside-the-office activities in your assigned territory, visiting customers in variable weather.
Minimum Qualifications
1+ year of sales experience preferred.
HS Diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
Problem solving ability, organization, and negotiation skills.
Team-up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Compensation depends on experience and/or education, skills, function, location, and other factors as applicable by law. The initial expected base rate for this role is between $55,000 - $95,000.
