Job Summary The CU Anschutz Health and Wellness Center (AHWC), established within the CU School of Medicine, opened in April 2012. The center’s vision is a campus where wellness is the foundation of everything we do. Staff collaborate with campus partners to employ the science of movement, nutrition, and mental well‑being to enrich community health. The AHWC serves as a resource for researchers, clinicians, students, employees, and community members. To utilize the power and science of movement, nutrition, and mental well‑being to enrich the health and wellness of our community.
Temporary Position:
Limited to 9 months, 10 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities Membership Marketing (80%)
Assist with development of campaigns and promotions that drive new member acquisition and sales.
Assist with coordination of member engagement and retention programs, including onboarding, email marketing and market research.
Coordinate marketing efforts for fitness and sales programs and events throughout the year (classes, workshops, orientations, campus events), including promotional materials.
Social Media (5%)
Assist in management and execution of social media strategy, including benchmarking and analysis of campaigns for Fitness Center-specific accounts.
Maintain social media editorial/content calendars.
Respond timely and professionally to engagement, reviews and direct messages.
Engage with AHWC marketing and communications team for cross‑posting and content sharing, when appropriate.
Digital Advertising (5%)
Execute, monitor and analyze paid digital advertising strategy to drive lead generation and brand awareness.
Track effectiveness of content and campaigns; recommend improvements.
Content Creation (10%)
Create, edit and publish original content following CU brand guidelines: graphics, video, text for social media, websites, newsletters.
Generate compelling, accurate content in collaboration with fitness center subject‑matter experts, meeting KPIs.
Ensure compliance with CU brand standards and accessibility laws.

Work Location Hybrid – on‑campus work as needed for content creation and meetings.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, design or a related field from an accredited university.
One (1) year of professional experience in digital media, website and social media management, including content creation, graphics, video, copywriting and/or paid digital advertising.
Applicants will provide professional work samples during interview.
Travel and relocation expenses are the responsibility of the candidate.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with content management systems such as WordPress or HubSpot; HTML knowledge a plus.
Experience with social/digital content creation, optimization, paid advertising, and digital management tools (SproutSocial, Facebook Business Suite, Google Analytics, AdWords).
Experience working with a commercial fitness center.
Intermediate to advanced graphic design, photography and video production/editing; Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva experience.
Experience writing engaging copy for social media, promotions, events, blogs and articles for diverse audiences.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of grammar, editing and AP style guidelines.
Commitment to high‑quality deliverables that enhance the center’s brand.
Strong storytelling and creativity; ability to communicate voice and call to action across formats.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, excellent time management; ability to prioritize, problem‑solve and meet deadlines.
