Job details Spherion is searching for a well experienced Ag Commercial Banker in the Sioux Falls, SD region. This position is responsible for reviewing loan applications to evaluate, authorize and/or recommend the approval of loans and to develop and maintain the Company's portfolio of Ag and commercial loans.

Salary $100-130k DOE

Responsibilities: ... -Maintain a well-developed knowledge of complete line of products and services offered by the bank; taking responsibility to keep up to date on changes -Assess customers' needs and recommend banking products and services to current and potential customers that will meet or exceed their needs -Establish new banking relationships that will be profitable to the Bank -Provide personalized banking services to current and prospective customers, consistently seeking to expand customer relationships through the cross selling of other Bank products and services -Manage and retain existing relationships and maximize long-term customer satisfaction through cross-selling efforts to meet or exceed the customer's needs and financial expectations -Develop and support retail business in the Bank by capitalizing business opportunities and refer sales opportunities to the appropriate sales staff -Monitor overdrawn accounts and implement a quality and timely collection plan. Follow through on collection efforts -Provide timely notification to supervisor and Loan Committee of problem accounts and possible loss to the Bank -Provide the highest level of customer service. This includes answering customer inquiries and providing information to customers on various accounts, interest rate inquiries, loan balances and other Bank services according to Bank procedures -Be on the alert for stop payments, kiting suspects, check alerts, etc. which are posted from time to time and any other special situations which may occur -Demonstrate sound judgment in decision making, abiding by Loan Policy -Monitor the consumer loan portfolio. Be responsible for the early detection and identification of past due accounts and plan of action to bring account current -Analyze financial and credit information of each customer to assess the needs of other Bank products -Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training -Make outside sales calls to prospective and current customers

Qualifications: -Must have a minimum of 5 years of banking or sales experience -Must have excellent communication and influencing skills -Must be customer and relationship focused -Must be able to travel in the surrounding county area for customer visits
