Junior Customs Entry Writer – Growth Path & Team‑Driven

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused entry-level Customs Entry Writer to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates with at least 1 year of customs entry writing experience or those with freight forwarding experience looking to transition into a customs brokerage environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and file customs entries for import/export shipments Process documentation through CargoWise and obtain Customs and PGA (e.g., FDA, DOT, USDA) releases Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and other government agencies Monitor and respond to Customs rejections, requests for information, and client correspondence Maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-level customer service Track shipments and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: 1+ year of customs brokerage experience or 3+ years of freight forwarding experience Stable work history with demonstrated career longevity Experience with CargoWise is a plus Basic knowledge of Incoterms, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and U.S. Customs regulations Strong attention to detail, organization, and data entry skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and work independently or as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Proficient in PC systems and email/phone communication Knowledge of domestic and international geography (ports, countries, major cities) preferred Authorized to work in the United States What We Offer: A collaborative, fun, family oriented and fast-paced work environment Opportunities for growth within customs brokerage A team committed to high standards of compliance and customer service Medical, dental, vision insurance and other If you are organized, driven, and ready to grow your career in customs brokerage, we encourage you to apply! #J-18808-Ljbffr
