Video Journalist
Public Opinion Productions, New York, NY, United States
Public Opinion Productions is a fast-growing media company based in New York City. We create digital series, including Track Star and Public Opinion, that connect with large audiences through human storytelling about culture and how the world works. We are building for the future of digital media: creator-led, audience-first, and designed to resonate across platforms. This is an opportunity to join a company with real momentum and play a meaningful role in our next phase of growth.
The Role
We’re hiring an experienced Video Journalist to help lead the next chapter of Public Opinion. What began as a street trivia show evolved into an op-doc series about how New York City lives and functions. Now, we are expanding beyond NYC to tell human-centered stories that feel like optimistic reporting for the digital age. This person will play a central role in producing stories from start to finish, from pitching ideas and planning shoots to writing scripts and serving as an on-screen host. The ideal candidate is a strong journalist and storyteller with sharp production instincts, curiosity about how the world works, and a natural ability to bring out personality in the people they interview. At Public Opinion, we want every story to feel educational, accessible, and deeply human.
