Marketing & Events Specialist
Sonatype is looking for a highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented Marketing & Events Specialist to support the execution of high-impact marketing programs and world-class events. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing campaigns and experiences to life, while also understanding how to measure success and optimize performance. You'll play a critical role in delivering memorable brand experiences, driving pipeline through events, and supporting cross-channel marketing campaigns. Event Execution & Management
Plan and execute Sonatype's presence at regional events Coordinate logistics including booth setup, vendors, shipping, swag, and on-site execution Support creative event experiences (games, activations, demos) Manage timelines, budgets, and project plans for events Partner with sales to ensure strong pre-event outreach and post-event follow-up Support post-event follow-up coordination to maximize pipeline conversion Event Performance & Metrics
Track key event metrics such as: Leads captured and meetings booked onsite Conversion of leads to opportunities and pipeline Assist in building post-event recap reports with insights and recommendations Work with marketing ops to ensure accurate lead tracking and campaign attribution in Salesforce Identify opportunities to improve engagement, conversion rates, and overall event impact Social Media & Event Promotion
Support pre-event promotion through social media Execute live event coverage (e.g., posting from the floor, highlighting booth activity, sharing key moments) Draft and schedule posts across platforms such as LinkedIn and X (Twitter) Capture and coordinate event content (photos, short videos, highlights) for real-time and post-event use Track basic social performance metrics (engagement, impressions) tied to event campaigns Operational Excellence
Maintain event documentation, run-of-show plans, and checklists Manage vendor relationships and contracts Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and event touchpoints Track inventory and manage marketing assets and swag What You Bring
2+ years of experience in marketing, events, or field marketing Experience supporting trade shows, conferences, or corporate events Strong project management and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills Willingness to travel (~2030%) Nice To Have
Experience in B2B tech or cybersecurity Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or marketing automation platforms Experience working closely with sales teams on event-driven pipeline Creative mindset with an eye for experiential marketing At Sonatype, we value diversity and inclusivity.
