About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Leadership and Service Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and vision, fostering a culture of leadership development and service, and enhancing the university's leadership ecosystem. This role involves working closely with faculty, staff, students, and community partners to create meaningful and sustainable opportunities for leadership development. The Executive Director will also oversee a multi-million dollar endowment, lead a team of professional staff and student leaders, and ensure the center's initiatives align with the institution's mission. Key responsibilities include administration, consultation, and outreach, as well as maintaining the center's reputation and pursuing additional funding opportunities.
Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a master's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a doctorate, and at least 5 years' of experience in leadership and service within a higher education setting. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a confident, people-centered leader, and a scholar-practitioner with a focus on advancing leadership and service. Essential qualifications include experience in staff supervision, budget management, and a proven track record of advancing a leadership and service department to a high level of excellence. The role requires a leader with a strong background in CliftonStrengths, advanced communication skills, and the ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships. The Executive Director will be expected to demonstrate success in the first year by developing a comprehensive understanding of the division of student life, advancing a shared understanding of leadership and service, and providing effective organizational leadership.
