About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Federal and State Grants and Sponsored Programs to lead its strategic efforts in securing funding that aligns with the institution's mission and capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a comprehensive grants pipeline, with a focus on early detection of competitive opportunities. This role involves serving as the central authority for grant intelligence, proposal leadership, and ensuring compliance and quality in all grant-related activities. The Executive Director will also be instrumental in building and managing relationships with federal and state program staff, as well as with regional partners, to enhance the institution's competitiveness and readiness for implementation.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and at least 5 years' of experience in grant development, particularly with federal and state proposals. The role requires a proven track record in writing and leading successful grant proposals, including the development of compliant budgets and sustainability plans. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, and a commitment to the highest standards of customer service, integrity, and student success. Experience with post-award coordination, reporting, and audit-ready documentation is also desirable. The Executive Director will be expected to work non-standard hours and travel as needed.
