Associate Director for Community Investments Group
Aegon USA Realty Advisors, Inc., a member of the Aegon Group, is seeking an Associate Director for its Community Investments Group. Aegon Community Investments places equity in federal and state Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) transactions for placement with third-party investors and with Aegon and its affiliated companies. Position Overview: As a Loan Administration Analyst I, you will be supporting timely and accurate boarding of legal, financial, and business terms of newly funded and modified commercial and agricultural mortgage loans to the mortgage loan servicing system. Responsibilities:
Review and analyze loan documentation for completeness and accuracy before onboarding to the servicing system. Enter loan data into the servicing platform, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all fields. Validate critical loan attributes including interest rate structures, amortization, payment schedules, escrows, reserves, covenants, and financial reporting requirements. Communicate with internal stakeholders (including loan originators, underwriters, and servicing teams) to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing information. Monitor and track the status of loans throughout the onboarding process, providing updates and reports as needed. Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Identify and escalate issues that may impact loan servicing or customer experience. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to loan boarding activities. Support audits and respond to requests for information from compliance or regulatory teams. Contribute to the development and maintenance of documented boarding procedures and controls. Identify process gaps or recurring issues and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Assist with system enhancements, testing, and implementations impacting loan boarding. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a commercial real estate and/or finance-oriented area or equivalent work experience in one of the following areas: asset management, property management, or commercial mortgage lending. Knowledge of commercial mortgage loans including background in real estate finance and accounting to analyze financial ratios and understand borrower financial projections, and the ability to read and understand mortgage loan legal documents. Excellent customer service and relationship management skills, team player and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and ability to conduct internet research and use industry specific software programs, including the mortgage loan system of record.
