Marketing And Communications Coordinator

Under the general direction of the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will support a range of planning and implementation of marketing and communications functions for Spokane Airports, including Spokane International Airport, Felts Field, the Airport Business Park and the Rail-Truck Transload Center. This role will focus heavily on digital content creation, visual storytelling and event coordination, to support the Airport's marketing, communications and air service development functions. These functions include but are not limited to brand promotion and engagement, social media and website management, graphic design, photo/video editing, community engagement, and vendor coordination. This position requires employee to work some nights, early mornings and weekends for special events. Major responsibilities include producing and designing graphics for both digital and print materials, writing and editing materials for diverse channels and audiences, responding to social media posts and answering requests for information, identifying, recommending and developing marketing tactics, coordinating and facilitating outreach efforts, supporting the planning and implementation of events, tracking, analyzing, and providing reports on performance metrics, anticipating and meeting the needs of internal and external customers, and positively representing the Airport at various community events, networking opportunities, and industry conferences. Qualifications for the Marketing Coordinator should include 1-3 years of related marketing, communications and/or customer relations experience, a bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or related field, valid driver license, free of serious or frequent traffic violations, and knowledge/skills in professional presentation, customer service, confidentiality, teamwork, organization, communication, learning, poise, and equipment operation. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 30 pounds, sitting for extended periods, standing and walking frequently, and ability to continuously exchange information through listening and talking with customers, coworkers, representatives of community organizations and other individuals.
